Abstract
Corrosion products at the steel/concrete interface of specimens subjected to different environments were examined. The process of generation of the corrosion product-filled paste (CP), including the corrosion products filling in air voids, was observed. The tiny cracks caused by the artificially accelerated corrosion process were observed to favour CP growth. The thicknesses of CP and the corrosion layer (CL), TCP and TCL were measured, and the TCP â TCL models are established. The TCP â TCL models obtained from this experiment and previous ones are compared, and the influence of environment on the TCP â TCL models is also discussed.
