Abstract
The luminescence color (green/red) of Mg B2O4:Mn (B = Al, Ga) phosphors was controlled by crystal-site engineering approach through adjusting the quantity of MgO in raw materials. Digital photos of Mg xB2O4:Mn (B = Al, Ga) phosphors with different Mg quantity (x) under 254 nm or 365 nm (for x = 1.5) UV light excitation. (a) Mg xAl2O4:Mn 0.1 mol%, (b) Mg xGa2O4:Mn 0.05 mol%.
