Abstract
Luminescent europiums(III) complexes EuLRCl3 (1) and EuLSCl3 (2) depicting intense red luminescence doping them in polyvinyl alcohol, a series of transparent, luminescent thin films were fabricated. The detailed investigation on the photophysical properties of these films such as radiative (ARAD) and non-radiative (ANR) decay rates, lifetimes (Ïobs), radiative lifetime (ÏRAD), Intrinsic quantum yield (ΦLn), energy transfer efficiencies (Φsen) and overall quantum yields (Φoverall) suggests an interesting LRET (luminescence Resonance Energy Transfer) behaviour at higher concentration.318
