Abstract
Suzuki coupling reactions of 4-iodo-N,N-bis(4-methoxylphenyl)aniline and 2-anthraquinon-2-yl-4,4,5,5-tetramethyl-[1,3,2] dioxaborolane, or 2,6-anthraquinon-2-yl-4,4,5,5-tetramethyl-[1,3,2] dioxaborolane gave asymmetric and symmetric intramolecular charge-transfer molecules. Their properties were investigated by spectroscopy, electrochemistry and quantum chemical calculations, and adjustable third-order nonlinear optical properties by structural design strategy was proved.172
