Abstract
We effectively stabilized gadolinium aluminate garnet (GdAG) by doping 10 at.% Tb3+, and based which GdAG:Tb3+/Eu3+ tunable emission phosphors were successfully developed in this work. Color tunable can be obtained via adjusting the Eu3+ content, and the emission color varies from green region to the yellow region, and then gradually shifts to the orange-red emission with Eu3+ increasing owing to the Tb3+ → Eu3+ energy transfer. The emission intensity of sample (Gd0.87Tb0.1Eu0.03)AG was higher than (Y0.87Tb0.1Eu0.03)AG and (Lu0.87Tb0.1Eu0.03)AG counterparts attributed to the Gd3+ → Eu3+ and Gd3+ → Tb3+ energy transfer.249
