Abstract
The design and experiment test on the strain clamp and the splicing sleeve of the 1520 mm2 large section conductor have been carried out in this paper. It is calculated that grip force is in accordance with 95% and 90.25% of conductor rated tensile force through grip force experiment analysis. Critical values of the effective compression length of the strain clamp and the splicing sleeve of the 1520 mm2 large section conductors are obtained through several tests and optimization. The effective compression length is recommended to take 6D; the inner diameter of the aluminum tube is applied to take 3D. For the aluminum alloy core profile aluminum conductor, the compression material of the aluminum alloy core selects the 3A21 aluminum alloy tube, tensile strength of the 3A21 aluminum alloy is 135MP and the elongation rate is 20%.
