Abstract
The blossom of economic growth accompanied with the rapid urbanization always associates with large amount of carbon emissions. The influences of economic structure on carbon emissions still need further investigation. The information-based network analysis can investigate the systematic robustness covering facets of both efficiency and redundancy from network structure perspective. This study adopts this method to detect the correlation between the robustness of embodied carbon network with carbon emission intensity, choosing China as a case study. The results show that the system robustness tends to show a negative correlation with carbon intensity, i.e. higher robustness, less carbon intensity.
