Abstract
Amorphous and crystalline VPO4/C were synthesized and used as anode for Li-ion batteries. The electrochemical performances revealed that loose atom stack benefits to Li-ion migration in amorphous material owing to the metastable state benefits to improve the kinetics of reaction and provide more active sites for Li-ion storage. Besides, the results demonstrated that the voltage hystereses in both samples stemmed from the electronegativity differences among different constitute elements.
