Abstract
We theoretically study the second-order sideband effects in an optomechanical system in the presence of a single quantum well. The numerical results demonstrate that the second-order upper sideband effects get greatly modified in this three-mode optomechanical system due to the presence of the quantum well. The more stronger the coupling between the cavity and the quantum well, the more larger the efficiency of the second-order sideband generation. Furthermore, it is found that by tuning the pump laser-exciton detuning or the pump power, the second-order sideband can be obviously modulated.
