Abstract
- LaB6-doped ZrC coatings were prepared by supersonic atmosphere plasma spraying.
- The oxyacetylene ablation resistance of LaB6-doped ZrC coatings was evaluated.
- ZrC with 10 vol.% LaB6 shows good ablation resistance under heat flux of 4.18âMW/m2.
- A stabilized oxide scale forms and consists of solid particles and molten phase.
- Excessive addition of LaB6 deteriorates the ablation resistance.
