Abstract
Li2CO3 accumulation is a serious obstacle for the longevity of Li-O2/Li-air batteries. In this work, it is shown that Li2CO3 decomposition could be efficiently facilitated with appropriate redox mediators via 2-electron transfer in one molecule. Such an efficient redox mediator bi-CoPc improves the cathode's cyclability by 8 times under CO2/O2 (2:1, v/v) and 6 times under N2/O2 (78:22, v/v).117
