Abstract
An efficient bifunctional electrocatalyst with core-shell structure, i.e. highly graphitic carbon (GC, carbonized from ZIF-8) on nitrogen-doped carbon (NC, carbonized from ZIF-67) (NC@GC), derived from ZIF-8@ZIF-67 has been obtained through hydrothermal and carbonization treatment. The resulted NC@GC combines their individual distinguished advantages, leading to high activities towards oxygen reduction and oxygen evolution reactions. As a proof-of-concept, the as-prepared NC@GC catalyst exhibits excellent performance in the primary and rechargeable Zn-air batteries.189
