Abstract
We report a novel bimetallic nickel-iron nitride (Ni3FeN) catalyst with hierarchically mesoporous structure that exhibits excellent electrocatalytic activity and stability for both the oxygen-evolution reaction (OER) and oxygen-reduction reaction (ORR) under alkaline conditions. It delivers a relatively lower voltage between charge and discharge and a better stability over 300 cycles compared to the more costly RuO2 air cathode.333
