Abstract
- The mechanism of reaction between TiC and B4C resulting in TiB2-TiC-C and TiB2-B4C-C heteromodulus ceramics is investigated.
- Gaseous transport of B-atoms to TiC grains is shown to be the main cause of reaction process acceleration at 1600°C.
- Two waves of charge densification are connected to two ways of B-atoms transport: solid and gaseous phase diffusion.
