Abstract
TiN/Ti refiner significantly refines the aluminum grains. TiN/Ti refiner can provide nano TiN particles to nucleant Al, and Ti to produce “Ti-rich transition region” surrounding TiN particles enhancing the wettability of TiN in the melt.352
