Abstract
Single crystalline Cu2SnS3 nanosheets with exposed (220) planes have been synthesized via a facial solvothermal solution chemical route. The solvent of ethylenediamine hindered the growth along the [110] direction and facilitated the formation of two dimensional nanostructures. Electrochemical performance of Cu2SnS3 electrodes in sodium ion batteries was investigated. Cu2SnS3 electrodes exhibit an initial sodiation capacity of 586Â mAh/g and 178Â mAh/g after 50 cycles. The electrochemical properties of Cu2SnS3 nanosheets suggest it is a potential anode material for sodium ion batteries.
