Abstract
The stress and orientational dependence of the oxidation-induced dynamic recrystallization of a Ni-based single crystal superalloy during high temperature creep were investigated. Cellular recrystallization appeared on the surface of the sample because of the oxidation-induced γ′-free layer. With the increase of the stresses, the depths of the recrystallized layers increased at first and then decreased. Besides, the tendency of recrystallization in <011> orientation was stronger than that in <010> orientation under the same load. The underlying mechanisms are discussed in this study.
