Abstract
In order to suppress the undesired interfacial reactions between the LTO and electrolyte, the LTO was coated with a chemically stable and electrochemically inert compound of YPO4 via a facile chemical co-precipitation approach. The results indicated that the YPO4 coating process did not change the crystal structure of LTO and an amorphous YPO4 coating layer existed on the surface of LTO. The YPO4 coating layer could suppress the undesired interfacial reactions of LTO. Moreover, the appropriate amount of YPO4 coating layer was also favourable to improve the rate capability and cyclic stability of the LTO.
