Abstract
SnO2 modified Li4Ti5O12 was synthesized by a ball milling method. The crystalline of the SnO2-Li4Ti5O12 composite is best of the three ratios and the composite is pure when the Li metal is excess by 8%. The Li4Ti5O12 is bulk and in good order. While the composite presents the structure of nanosphere with the diameter of about 300 nm when doped with SnO2. The electrochemistry methods tests show that the capacity and rate performance of the SnO2-Li4Ti5O12 composite is better than that of Li4Ti5O12. The SnO2-Li4Ti5O12 composite shows the higher initial discharge capacity of 1076.7 mAh·gâ1 at 1C and 564.2 mAh·gâ1 at 5C.
