Abstract
Series structure of ZnO/MWCNTs nanocomposites were synthesized via a facile self-assembly method and applied as anode materials for lithium-ion batteries. ZnO nanoparticles with the size of â¼40 nm were in-situ grown and uniformly anchored on the external surface of MWCNTs. Series structure and MWCNTs help ZnO exhibit an enhanced cycling stability, with the first charge capacity of 802 mAh gâ1 and 437 mAh gâ1 after 100 cycles at a current density of 100 mA gâ1. Furthermore, the nanocomposite shows impressive performance at higher current density. It maintains a charge capacity of over 276 mAh gâ1 even at a current density of 1600 mA gâ1 after cycles.
