Abstract
We reported a room-temperature chemical vapor deposition (CVD) in which ethyltrichlorosilane was used as precursor to produce 1D micro-structures made from polysiloxane on PBO fibers surface. In this article, the reaction on the fibers' surface increased via treatment with the plasma, and then the self-assembly of alkylsilane was used to form the polysiloxane microtubes on the surface of PBO fibers, and the growth rate of polysiloxane microtubes can be controlled by the moisture content, which is controlled by nitrogen. The modified PBO fibers can be obtained by various characterizations, which confirm that the surface of the fibers has silicon.
