Abstract
Based on the mold-based manufacturing of CFRP-parts, the use of mold release agents is inevitable to guarantee the demolding of the cured parts. Therefore, their type and application has a major effect on the part quality as the result of surface appearance and -contamination, due to remaining release agent residues. To reduce the effort in terms of their removal prior to an adhesive bonding process, the influence of different release agents and their application on the demoldability, the surface contamination and the bondability was investigated. It could be shown, that this effort can be reduced due to different approaches.
