Development of a Sensor Prototype and Geometry Based Parameters for the Characterization of Riblets Using Angle-resolved Measurement Techniques

To ultimately get meaningful results regarding the qualitative conditions of the riblets, so-called scatter distributions must be analyzed and interpreted. An unambiguous interpretation of scatter distributions presents difficulties. The development of applicable parameters based on virtual data analysis therefore is a significant aspect, which will be considered within this article. Furthermore detailed physical descriptions of the virtual sensor will be given.
