Abstract
This paper proposes a new method to come as close as possible to the salient successful aspiration level and move away as far as possible from the survival aspiration level. This makes it possible to determine the best alternative in a set of feasible alternatives for multiple objective decision making problems. In order to achieve this idea, a fuzzy score method is proposed for measuring the ratio of Euclidean distance between the achievement function and their aspirations. An illustrative example is provided, to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method. This involves the use of both salient success and survival aspiration levels in linear programming. A real case of the optimal location of wind turbines installations is also provided to demonstrate the usefulness of the proposed method.
