Factorization method applied to the second order difference equations

The main purpose of this work is to apply the factorization method to difference equations. The factorization method offers the possibility of finding solutions of new classes of difference equations. We show how to integrate certain classes of second order difference equations. Finally, an example is presented to illustrate our main result.
