Abstract
- NACA0012 is used as 2D simplified model of a fish body undertaking undulating motion.
- The effects of Re on energy extraction efficiency are studied.
- Relatively high efficiency always occurs at moderate Reynolds numbers.
- For each Re, there is an optimum wave velocity to harvest energy effectively.
- There is a threshold dimensionless wave velocity which disable the energy extraction.
