Abstract
In the present paper, we prepared M-type hexaferrite Sr0.7Yx La0.3-xFe12-y CoyO19 (x=â0.00, 0.05, 0.10, 0.15 & y=â0.30, 0 0.25, 0.20, 0.15) magnetic powders by using the solid state reaction method. X-ray diffraction was exploited to examine the phase constituents of the magnetic powder samples. We report our investigation of the yttrium content(x) and Co(y), on the crystalline size and the magnetic properties of the material. There is a single magnetoplumbite phase in the magnetic powders with the substitution of y (0.0ââ¤xâ¤â0.10) and Co (0.20ââ¤yâ¤â0.30) contents. For the magnetic powders containing yttrium (xâ¥â0.10) and Co (yâ¤â0.20) magnetic impurities begin to appear in the structure. The magnetic properties of the samples were measured by a permanent magnetic measuring device, a vibrating sample magnetometer. It has been observed that the desirable quantities of Y-Co replacement may curiously increase the saturation magnetization (Ïs) and intrinsic coercivity (Hcj). With the Y-Co dopant contents for the same sintering temperature at 1250â¯Â°C, (Ïs) and (Hcj) first increase and then decrease gradually.
