Abstract
The ground state energy (GSE), the ground state binding energy (GSBE) of the strong coupling polaron in the asymmetrical Gaussian potential quantum well (AGPQW) are received by using the linear combination operator and the second unitary transformation methods. Effects of temperature and the height and the range of the asymmetrical Gaussian potential (AGP) on these two physical quantities are performed and indicated that (i) the absolute value of GSE increases (decreases) when the temperature increases at lower (higher) regime and it's an increasing function of the height and the range of AGP, however, effect of the AGP's range on it is weaker at higher temperature regime; (ii) The GSBE will increase with the increase of the temperature, the height and the range of the AGP.
