Abstract
A Kantowski-Sachs cosmological model in the presence of an anisotropic dark energy is investigated within the framework of Lyra geometry. We obtain exact solutions to the field equations by utilizing a special form of the Hubble parameter that yields time-varying deceleration parameter. We discuss the physical features of the model. We observe that the anisotropic model approaches isotropy through the evolution of the universe which is consistent with the recent observations on the present-day universe.
