Abstract
Closed Space Sublimation (CSS) technique has been studied to deposit Hg1âxCdxTe polycrystalline films on CdZnTe substrates at the improved pressure-temperature conditions. The experimental results on film characterization suggest that the CSS optimal conditions are the argon atmospheric pressure (1013 mbar) and the deposition temperature in the range of 500-550 °C. These conditions provide macro-defect free Hg1âxCdxTe films with the uniform size and surface distribution of polycrystals.
