Abstract
A simple method for measuring and evaluation of nonlinearity of the photomultiplier response efficiency using two controlled noncalibrated light sources is presented. The accuracy of the response efficiency nonlinearity evaluation and its linearization procedure was found to be 0.15%. As was shown, photomultiplier nonlinearity led to nonproportional distortions of photoelectronic estimates.
