Abstract
- Serotonin and norepinephrine transporters are capable of dopamine reuptake in the parkinsonian striatum.
- Duloxetine is a serotonin and norepinephrine reuptake inhibitor.
- We investigated effects of duloxetine in patients with advanced Parkinson's disease.
- Adjunctive duloxetine treatment improved motor symptoms and reduced daily OFF-time in some patients.
- Duloxetine treatment might have beneficial treatment effects for mood and motor symptoms in Parkinson's disease.
