RésuméLa radiothérapie des cancers bronchiques à petites cellules a connu des progrès significatifs dans les dix dernières années en particulier grâce à l'introduction de la TEP-scanographie dans le bilan initial et la délinéation avant irradiation des tumeurs localement évoluées. L'irradiation prophylactique cérébrale reste un standard thérapeutique si elles sont localement évoluées et fait l'objet d'une controverse au stade métastatique. Une nouvelle indication d'irradiation thoracique pour les formes métastatique pourrait prochainement émerger, mais des études de confirmation sont en cours.

Radiotherapy for small cell lung carcinoma has known significant improvements over the past 10 years especially through routine use of PET-CT in the initial work-up and contouring before treatment. Prophylactic cranial irradiation remains a standard of care for locally advanced disease and is a subject of controversy for metastatic disease. A new indication for thoracic radiotherapy may soon arise for metastatic disease, still confirmation studies are ongoing.
