Abstract
In the NICU context, Yakson is defined as a mother's gentle, nurturing, and soothing touch that is meant to comfort her newborn and results in the newborn's physically relaxed and emotionally stable condition, the mother's satisfaction and confidence, and stronger mother-infant interaction and attachment. Although this concept analysis is based on Korean culture, the understanding of Yakson can help nurses promote this feasible practice to enhance mother-infant interaction and attachment in the NICU.
