Abstract
Deformational plagiocephaly is a common issue in primary care. It is crucial that providers are familiar with recommendations for the diagnosis and management of DP. In this article we provide an overview of literature related to epidemiology, risk factors, clinical presentation, differential diagnosis, history and physical, diagnostics, management, screening, prevention, and associated delays in development. As deformational plagiocephaly is an avoidable condition, we stress the importance of early screening and present strategies for prevention.
