Abstract
Giving effective, constructive feedback is not something that is an innate skill for most people. You can read books and articles to gain knowledge about strategies, but ultimately, it's a learned skill. It takes practice, very deliberate conversations, and thoughtful reflection of every experience. Although we understand the importance of giving and receiving feedback, it's a skill set that's too often neglected. Our effectiveness in fostering teamwork, staff engagement, and even workplace accountability is enhanced or diminished by our feedback skills.1
