Speaking Up: It Requires Leadership Maturity

The health care system in the United States is at a turning point. The citizenry increasingly recognizes quality care at an affordable price for as many people as possible as a basic human right. High-quality care is expected even as demands for care increase.1 This convergence of increased demand within a resource-constrained environment will require that leaders combine health care expertise with business acumen for our system to achieve these goals.
