Abstract
Standard electroencephalography is a helpful tool in the diagnostic workup of altered states of consciousness and delirium - complementary to neuroimaging measures. Despite a lack of EEG recordings should be considered as helpful, non-invasive, widely available and accepted tools for the assessment of brain function within the context of clinical signs and symptoms.
