Abstract
The incidence of uterine pseudoaneurysm is rare. The pathophysiological mechanism of its occurrence is mostly traumatic. These vascular malformations are especially observed in the aftermath of a caesarean section. Usually, bleeding is the principal clinical sign. Pelvic ultrasound coupled with Doppler allow the diagnosis of uterine pseudoaneurysm. Uterine artery angiography is the gold standard. Its role is dual: diagnosis and therapy. But this procedure cannot be performed unless embolization is planned. We report a new case of pseudoaneurysm of the left uterine artery revealed by genital hemorrhage. The diagnosis was established by pelvic ultrasound coupled with Doppler. It was confirmed by angiography of the uterine arteries. The occlusion of the pseudoaneurysm was completed by embolization of the left uterine artery and the outcome was uneventful.
