Abstract
The majority of pelvic masses in women are from gynaecologic origin. However, they may also arise from the gastrointestinal or urinary tract, peritoneum or retroperitoneum, pelvic soft tissues structures or bones. The knowledge of pelvic anatomy and the imaging characteristics of these lesions are critical to provide an accurate diagnosis and a potential surgical roadmap for predicting lesion resectability. The purpose of this article is to highlight the imaging features of non-ovarian tumours of the pelvis with regard to surgical planning and identification of neoplastic and non-neoplastic lesions.
