Abstract
Fanconi anaemia is a rare inherited disorder with variable phenotype produced by a DNA repair alteration. It is characterised by a progressive pancytopenia with bone marrow failure, variable congenital malformations, and a predisposition to develop solid or haematological tumours. There is insufficient literature on the anaesthetic management of this condition. Owing to their particular features, there are many anaesthetic implications. The case is presented of a pregnant woman with Fanconi anaemia during the active delivery period. After assessing the additional tests and the clinical condition of the patient, an epidural anaesthetic was performed, with no complications.
