Abstract
Teriparatide effect facilitates cranial integration by recruiting stem cells and modulating angiogenesis so that fibrosis is lessened. Without teriparatide treatment a scarce amount of stem cells are recruited to the graft-host suture, and they do not differentiate into osteoblasts. When teriparatide is administrated, the forming blood vessels are narrower 1Â week after surgery, the capillary bed is richer, and more stem cells are recruited and differentiating, leading to superior healing.120
