Abstract
Teriparatide effect facilitates cranial integration by recruiting stem cells and modulating angiogenesis so that fibrosis is lessened. Without teriparatide treatment a scarce amount of stem cells are recruited to the graft-host suture, and they do not differentiate into osteoblasts. When teriparatide is administrated, the forming blood vessels are narrower 1 week after surgery, the capillary bed is richer, and more stem cells are recruited and differentiating, leading to superior healing.120
