Abstract
•Multiple annotated genomes are available for bottom-up proteomics in G. duodenalis.•Post-genomic proteomics data now covers multiple aspects of Giardia biology.•Transcriptomic data for Giardia is also available to complement proteomic data.•Future studies need to focus on generating quantitative data and analysing PTMs.•To date, there is no proteomics data in human-infective G. duodenalis assemblage B.
