Abstract
- Spironolactone and eplerenone, both were effective in reducing blood pressure.
- Both treatments reduced levels of inflammatory markers (hsCRP and TNF-α).
- Both were not effective in improving endothelial function.
- Both treatments did not reduce progression of carotid IMT and stiffness indices.
- Eplerenone was not found more effective than spironolactone or vice-versa.
