Abstract
â¢VNS in treatment-resistant depression can help sustain near-permanent remission.â¢VNS was very well tolerated by all patients without any major adverse effects.â¢VNS demonstrates resilience: remission regained after battery/device failure.â¢These patients have heavy family histories of depressive illness and/or alcoholism.
