Abstract
The pedicle flap is suitable and safe for the reconstruction of defects caused by the ablation of oral and maxillofacial tumors in elderly patients. Preoperative evaluation of positive risk factors, including type of surgery and systemic conditions, is very important for the selection of an appropriate flap for such patients.
