Abstract
Exercise related glucose control constitutes a big challenge for patients with type 1 diabetes and depends on several factors such as exercise type, intensity, duration and distance from meals, etc. For insulin pump users, adjustments to insulin basal rates and boluses are suggested based on the clinical studies that tested some of these factors. New technologies, including the external artificial pancreas, have the potential to facilitate diabetes management with physical activity.
