Abstract
Refeeding syndrome, often overlooked, encompasses electrolyte disturbances and clinical consequences, which may occur in undernourished patients during refeeding. Clinical complications are potentially fatal. Identification of patients who are at risk of developing refeeding syndrome is crucial. Initiation of refeeding should be moderate and slow. Monitoring and correction of electrolytes disturbances should be strict.
