Abstract
Information and communication technologies (ICT) are present in all fields of everyday life, and requiring or encouraging people, regardless of age, to adapt and develop new skills. ICTs provide a means to access large amounts of information, including useful information for maintaining health and autonomy, and a wide variety of services (e.g. transportation, banking…). They also contribute to developing and maintaining social ties, providing new opportunities for learning and entertainment. ICTs therefore appear as particularly relevant in the context of aging populations. Unfortunately, seniors have to cope with certain intrapsychic, sensorimotor and cognitive barriers. There is an obvious need to consider these constraints within adapted assistance initiatives, including training courses.
