Abstract
â¢Data on incidence rates of acute HCV infection differ between European countries.â¢Contradictory data have been published concerning acute HCV infection in Spain.â¢Prospectively followed HIV-infected individuals were analysed in Southern Spain.â¢Incidences of both firstly acquired acute HCV infection and reinfection were low.â¢Ongoing risk practices were confirmed in both patients who presented AHCVI.
